Front-end web developer (mid-weight)

We’re looking for a mid-weight front-end web developer with a couple years under their belt to come and join our lovely team based in Leeds. We're a small but passionate team of people who work with organisations such as Leeds City Council, Nuffield Health, Comic Relief, The University of Nottingham, NHS and Yorkshire MESMAC on Tech for Good digital projects, working with technologies to help tackle health and social issues.

​What we need from you​.

  • Excellent knowledge of HTML, CSS and Javascript
  • Strong skills with Javascript MVC frameworks such as Vue or React
  • At least 2 years professional experience
  • Understanding of popular open-source platforms and frameworks such as Laravel and Craft CMS
  • A keen interest in the application of new trends and software developments
  • Troubleshooting, testing and maintaining core products and databases
  • Use tools such as Git and Webpack within your development process
  • Attention to detail and the ability to QA own work
  • Experience in working closely with designers
  • Ability to produce detailed specifications and documentation
  • A sharp mind with the ability to grasp concepts quickly and work out logical problems
  • Be independent, disciplined, self motivated, open, honest and flexible
  • Obsessive when it comes to clean, efficient code
