Ayup delivered a scalable, mobile-first digital solution for Near Now which gives it the capacity to reach out to multiple audiences and the flexibility to develop online as the organisation changes and grows.

Part of one the UK's most successful independent cinemas, Broadway, and Funded by the Arts Council, Near Now works with people and organisations to make - and make sense of - technology for use in everyday life. 

The past few years had seen Near Now outgrowing its existing online presence – it was feeling restricted as to what it could achieve. The organisation’s role had expanded and changed and it needed to improve how it reached out to multiple audiences and presented its brand online.  

Near Now needed a partner which could not only refresh its website and brand creatively but re-think how it could use digital to benefit the business - operationally and commercially.

In 2016, Near Now chose Ayup to help it reimagine how it could use digital technology to present a more consistent brand online – and reach out to new audiences. 

They wanted a solution that would grow as the organisation changed and one that would perform multiple functions. 

For example, they needed a solution that could help them showcase their work through longform content, recruit participants to events and workshops, promote a new fellowship program and commercial arm. 

They also needed a solution that would be a mobile responsive design and could be effectively managed and maintained in-house.

The solution

Ayup Digital designed and built a fully responsive web presence which not only re-imagined their existing site from a creative perspective but also gives Near Now the functionality and flexibility they need.

The Ayup-engineered solution delivers:

• A new fully mobile-responsive web platform giving Near Now the ability to seamlessly market multiple events.  A new range of Ayup-engineered content modules – which means that Near Now can target different user groups based on their activity on the site.

• A full brand re-fresh and creative re-design of the existing site giving Near Now the capacity to showcase their activities with longform written, audio and visual content. 

• A flexible ‘call to action’ (CTA) system which enables Near Now to capture and collect user data and so, target their marketing efforts more effectively through a CMS.

• The ability to create custom CTAs and a flexible data entry system which they are able to manage and maintain themselves.
